Tehuelche objects, geology and history of patagonia
Pioneers of Patagonia, the Echeverria family owns the estancia since the year -----. In our museum you can learn about the history of the family in the ranch, backed by photos and local objects. As well as, samples of tehuelche armory pieces found in the area, such as arrowheads, and others. Archaeologically, Patagonia is a very rich place, and Estancia Rio Mitre is not the exception.
Stones of geological value and even dinosaur eggs are part of our collection.

With our volunteer program, you can live in our estancia during the summer months. You will learn all kinds of field work, from feeding the animals to accompanying in the tourist guides on horseback.
